On 7 and 8 June, the National School, University and Leisure Sport Federation hosted the 8th meeting of the HEPA (health-enhancing physical activity) national focal points as well as the representatives of the World Health Organisation and the European Commission. The event that was co-hosted with the Ministry of Human Capacities had two emphasized program points on the agenda. Firstly, the data collection process to as set out by the HEPA indicators to monitor and compare national HEPA-related policies and programs. Secondly, the HEPA related best practices of the member states. As part of the latter program point, one of the founding organisations of NSULF, the Hungarian School Sport Federation had the opportunity to present two of its initiatives: the national uniform student fitness assessment system (NETFIT) and one of the biggest European sport event, the European School Sport Day.
Tibor Navracsics, the EU commissioner responsible for sport also took part in the meeting and announced that the sport budget of the Erasmus + Sport program will almost be doubled in the next years.
